The 120th Anniversary of the arrival of the Vieille Montagne Company in Nenthead will be celebrated on the weekend of 6-7 August with an international conference, mine trips and gala (see here for poster and the conference programme). The Lorton and Derwent Fells Local History Society has provided the Greenwood county maps of Cumberland and Westmorland on their website. The maps were surveyed in 1821-3 at one inch to the mile.
